Applying for the Micro-Grant

The 2025 micro-grant opportunity is a result of a donation from Cooperative Education Service Agency 6 (CESA 6). Schools and systems are able to apply for $100 - $1,000 micro-grants for needs that exist at the school.

What does this mean for you? 

You are able to apply for micro-grants that will reimburse your school or system for the expenses associated with your request.

• Grants range from $100 - $1,000

• Applications are due by January 31, 2025

• Awarding notification by February 28, 2025

• All grant reimbursements must be submitted by June 27, 2025

The Smart Thinking Foundation Board will choose the grants using one or more of the following criteria:

• Demonstrated financial need

• Demonstrated need based on student performance

• Increases services to students and/or staff

• Application in the school or classroom

• Products or services align to the system or site strategic plan
